The Chiefs recorded a bonus point 29-14 Super Rugby victory over the Blues in Hamilton last night.

All of the Chiefs points came in the first half after they ran in four tries.

Despite having several players unavailable to injury, the Chiefs looked a different side from the one that went down to the Highlanders last week.

The Blues only reply in the first half was two penalties from five-eighth Michael Hobbs as they went into halftime 29-6 down.

For the Blues, defeat means they are winless after two rounds and have a tough trip ahead to South Africa where they face the Bulls and the Stormers.

In another of last night’s matches, the Waratahs produced a controlled performance to secure a bonus point 35-19 win over the Rebels.

Inside centre Tom Carter scored two tries and tighthead prop Sekope Kepu notched his first Super Rugby try for the Waratahs.

Meanwhile, the Hurricanes came back to edge the Lions 30-28 this morning in Johannesburg.

In today’s matches, the Crusaders will take on the Highlanders at 6.35pm and the Reds will play the Western Force at 8.40pm.
