The Highlanders have also found the counter‑attacking form that made them reigning champions, with a 34‑15 win over the Lions last night.
In other matches, the Rebels edged the Reds 25-23, the Cheetahs beat the Sunwolves 32-31 while the Sharks overcame the Stormers 18-13.
