After one week of consultations between the Great Council of Chiefs review team and 6 provinces out of the 14 in the country, it has now been proposed by the respective chiefs, that there is a need for each province to form there own council of chiefs, to choose their representative to the Great Council of Chiefs meeting.

GCC Review Team Secretary, Ratu Josateki Nawalowalo said that the chiefs have made their stand known, that they do not want the provincial council involved in the selection of the representative of the province to the GCC.
