Defending Super Rugby champions the Chiefs has made five changes to their starting 15 to face the Rebels in Melbourne tomorrow night.

Injuries have forced more changes at prop with Pauliasi Manu starting at loose head, Ben Tameifuna at tight-head with Toby Smith ability to play both sides seeing him sent to the bench.

Sam Cane replaces Tanerau Latimer at open-side flanker, while Matt Leven makes his first Super Rugby appearance since 2011 at number eight.

A change to the backline, with Brendon Leonard replacing Augustine Pulu, while hooker Hika Elliot returns to the reserves as does wing Patrick Osbourne.

The Chiefs take on the Rebels at 9.40pm tomorrow.

At 7.35 also tomorrow the Blues meet the Stormers.
