The Chiefs stocks in the second row have suffered another blow as lock Johan Bardoul has been ruled out for the season.
Bardoul has a knee injury which is the same injury that Michael Allardice suffered recently.
The injury occurred during the Chiefs 34-20 victory over the Bulls on Friday.
The Chiefs will take on the Highlanders at 7.35pm Saturday.
The table topping Hurricanes take on the Crusaders at 7.35pm Friday.
