The Chiefs are looking to get their attack firing against the Western Force in Hamilton tonight, when they try to post their first win of the super 14 rugby season.

Traditionally slow starters, the Chiefs are again absent from the early frontrunners after three frustrating defeats, each of which did yield a bonus point.

Coach Ian Foster believed his side was on an upward curve, but one area targeted for significant improvement was at the defence of the field.

The Chiefs have one of the most exciting-looking back divisions around and the likes of Sosene Anesi, Richard Kahui, Sitiveni Sivivatu, Stephen Donald and Brendon Leonard, who will be all the deck against the Force, give them plenty of All Black experience.

The Chiefs/Force match will be played tonight at 6:35pm.
