The Chiefs come from behind to beat the Highlanders 21-19 in their Super Rugby encounter in Hamilton last night.

The Highlanders led 16-7 at the break, before second half tries to Liam Messam and Charlie Ngatai helped the hosts to their second win of the season.

Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says one key adjustment was to the kicking game.

He said they talked about kicking from wider channels so they could kick it behind Ben Smith.

Elsewhere, the Waratahs have hammered the Reds 32-5, while the Brumbies have beaten the Force 27-14.

In a match played this morning, the Bulls have beat the Lions 25-17 in Pretoria.
