Chiefs coach Dave Rennie is impressed with his returning All Blacks.
Aaron Cruden, Tawera Kerr Barlow, Sam Cane, Liam Messam and Brodie Retallick reported for training this week after a well deserved layoff following another long season.
Rennie noted that with the combative and high-paced game the Chiefs play, fitness will be an important component.
The Chiefs kick off their Super Rugby title defense against the Crusaders in Christchurch on the 21st of next month.
