Chiefs and Highlanders match could be considered as an All Blacks trial

The Super Rugby blockbuster between the Chiefs and the Highlanders in Hamilton tonight could be considered as an All Blacks trial.

There's a probables versus possibles look across both backlines, making for a mouth‑watering encounter between the competition's frontrunners and last year's champions.

The Chiefs have registered eight wins from nine matches this season and sit second in the New Zealand conference while the Highlanders sit fourth.

Three Fiji born players will also be in action tonight, where Waisake Naholo and Patrick Osborne will start for the Highlanders while Setareki Tamanivalu will play for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs will play the Highlanders at 7.35pm. In other matches, the Sunwolves will play the Force at 5.15pm while the Waratahs will face the Cheetahs at 9.40pm.

Meanwhile, the Crusaders thumped the Reds 38‑5 while the Brumbies registered a 23‑6 win over the Bulls last night.
