The interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has invited the Chiefs from the 14 provinces to participate in a special sitting of the Bose ni Turaga where he intends to brief them on the current state of affairs of the nation.

Interim Minister for Indigenous Affairs Ratu Epeli Nailatikau told Fijivillage that Commodore Bainimarama wants to personally speak to the Chiefs and explain the reasons for the delay in the holding of elections and the recent High Court ruling.

Ratu Epeli said while certain provinces continue to oppose the work of the interim government, he is confident that all Chiefs will respond positively and attend the Bose ni Turaga.
