The high chief of Dratabu in Nadi is hopeful that a permit will be given by the Commissioner Central's Office for the go ahead for the Ba Provincial Council meeting scheduled at the end of the month.
Taukei Navo Ratu Meli Saukuru said that a permit will allow the chiefs and representatives of the different Tikina to meet and to appoint a person chairman.
Early this year the position became vacant after the passing away of the Tui Tavua Ratu Ovini Bokini.
More than 60 members of the province are expected to attend the two day meeting at the Hotel 2000 in Lautoka.
