Newly appointed Wallabies coach Michael Cheika will give Quade Cooper a first shot at reclaiming his Test jumper in their match against the Barbarians.
Cooper has been out of action due to an injury.
Cheika also said that Cooper and his Reds scrum‑base partner Will Genia are in the frame for their home tour opener.
Some of the big names in the Barbarians include Colin Slade, Steven Luatua, Dominic Bird, Matt Todd, Tim Nanai-Williams, Fiji born Patrick Osborne, Frank Halai, Francis Saili, Adam Thomson, Nick Cummins, Japan’s Fumiaki Tanaka, Matt Stevens and Samoa’s Mahonri Schwalger.
The Wallabies will face the Barbarians at 3.30am Sunday.
