Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has agreed to a contract extension that will see him through to the end of the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Cheika, who guided Australia to the 2015 Rugby World Cup final, signed a two‑year extension before his current deal was due to expire.

Cheika says it is a privilege to be associated with the people involved with their national team and playing his part in establishing the Wallabies identity for the years to come and for many years after that.
