Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Chief Executive, Tevita Banuve is expected to meet with Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry once he returns from leave.

FIRCA Board Chairman, Filipe Bole confirms that Banuve is on ten days leave and his deputy is currently acting in his position.

Chaudhry was expected to advice the FIRCA board to ask Banuve to resign however, Bole said nothing such happened as there are no allegations leveled against Banuve.

However, Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama maintains that Banuve has to resign from his post and everything would be done to ensure that FICAC secures files for its investigations.

He also said that they have secured a court order from the Magistrates Court to get the necessary documents.
