Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry stresses that the interim government just cannot afford to restore the 5 percent pay cut as the public sector unions continue to demand for their members' pay to be normalized.
Chaudhry said people should understand the current economic situation in the country instead of threatening to walk out of their jobs on July 19th.
However Chaudhry hopes that good sense will prevail and civil servants will not walk out of their jobs on July 19th.
