Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry has confirmed that he will meet with Australia's Prime Minister-elect, Kevin Rudd on lifting the travel ban against Fiji once he announces his cabinet lineup.
Chaudhry said he is looking forward to meeting Rudd soon.
Chaudhry earlier said that he hopes the new Labour Government will review Australia's current policy towards Fiji, moving away from isolation to one of constructive engagement.
Chaudhry said FLP has had a long relationship with the Australian Labour Party and he is confident the new government will see things in a wider perspective.
