The Defence counsel for Former Commissioner Central Inoke Devo has issued a summon for a Police Officer to give evidence in the trial as FICAC today wrapped up their case in the Suva High Court.
Lawyer Rajendra Chaudhry is expected to call a witness who is travelling to Suva from Savusavu and he also indicated that a police officer has been summoned as a Defence witness and he is expected to give evidence tomorrow.
The case is expected to conclude tomorrow following which FICAC and defence lawyers will make their final submissions to the assessors and the Judge will then sum up the case and give directions on the legal aspects of the trial to the assessors.
Devo is facing nine counts of abuse of office.
The case will resume at 11:30 tomorrow morning.
