Civil servants have been assured that there will be a restoration of their remaining 4% pay cut this year.
On a talkback on Village, Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry confirmed that the public sector unions will soon be engaged in talks on the restoration.
Chaudhry said as the interim government continues to try and decrease expenditure, they have set a target of downsizing the civil service by 10%, however he stressed that this will not be across the board.
