Fiji Labour Party (FLP) leader Mahendra Chaudhry is optimistic that the planned visit by the Forum Ministerial Contact Group will help pave the path to convene the proposed Presidential Dialogue Forum to discuss electoral changes and help the country move towards elections.
However, speaking to Fijivillage Chaudhry said the FLP is also of the view that not only electoral changes but the entire Peoples Charter needs to be discussed at the proposed forum to get all stakeholders to agree on the document.
As Chaudhry continues his own consultation on the draft Peoples Charter, he said there have been positive responses from the general public on its intentions.
It was earlier revealed that the interim government agreed to a visit by the Forum Ministerial Contact Group before the end of the year.
