As part of the draft Charter Consultations close to 500 students from three secondary schools in the Northern Division were consulted by the NCBBF team.

Press Secretary Commissioner Northern Filipe Cula confirmed the consultations took place before the students sat the external exams this week.

Cula said according to NCBBF officials these students were above the age of 18 adding that the response by students were enormous as most of the students took the chance to ask questions on the draft Charter.

However, it is still not known at this stage whether consultations in these schools in the North took place before or after the interim Education Minister Filipe Bole had issued a directive of more than a week ago to suspend all consultations in schools to allow students to prepare for external exams, but to continue at the end of November.

The Ministry of Education is expected to comment later today.
