The President of the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji who is also a member of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji believes that the People's Charter process is the only way to end the coup culture and problems associated with it.
While speaking in support of the Charter last night, Arya said that the military cannot be solely blamed for all the problems faced by the country.
Fiji cannot be moved forward by the force of the military coup and that there are better ways to tackle the nation’s problems rather than through the barrel of the gun.
Doctor Wadan Narsey of the negative team in the debate said the mental outlook of the soldiers needs to change.
He also raised concern about the military's budget over the last 20 years.
