The Independent Legal Services Commission has today ruled that Suva lawyer Wylie Clark does not have a case to answer in relation to 6 complaints which were brought against him by the Chief Registrar.

Clark was alleged to have failed to keep proper account records for Jamnadas Clark and Associates Trust Account between September and October 2001.

It was alleged that Clark being a signatory to the trust account did not maintain the records which would enable the proper monthly audit.

However, Commissioner John Connors after considering the evidence presented before him during the hearing ruled that there is no case to answer and dismissed the complaints brought against him by the Chief Registrar.

Commissioner Connors said while there is some evidence in support of the Chief Registrar’s case, that evidence needs to be considered in the light of the totality of that evidence which is placed before the commission.
