Ousted Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase said any changes to the 1997 constitution and the Electoral Act, without parliamentary approval, will be unconstitutional.

Qarase questions the comments made by the Interim Prime Minister that the next elections will be held under a new electoral system, as the SDL Leader stresses that the current electoral system has to be followed.

He also said the people of Fiji need clarifications on Bainimarama's statement that the military will be the guardian of the People's Charter after the elections, as he said that the RFMF cannot dictate conditions to the elected government.
