Changes are expected to be made to the Digicel Fiji Sevens team for the next leg of the IRB Sevens Series despite a total turnover of attitude by players in the USA Sevens tournament.

Head Coach Alivereti Dere has already confirmed to Fijivillage that he will be looking at the option of bringing overseas based players and he will be holding talks with the selectors.

Fiji Rugby Union’s national coaching director Frank Boivert confirmed last week that there were some issues beyond their control in the New Zealand 7s which resulted in the team’s dismal performance.

Now as we wait for the team to get back home, there is anticipation from the rugby fans for an answer as to what really happened in New Zealand.

Meanwhile, South Africa defeated the All Blacks 7s 40-21 in the cup final of the USA 7s this morning to bag their first win in the world sevens series after two years.

Coach Paul Treu said hard work has paid off for them.
