The Transport Ministry and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) have made changes to the structure of the bus fares to be charged at various stages.
LTA Spokesperson Ratu Eroni Volavola said the changes have been made after a directive from the Prime Minister as people were not happy with the earlier fare changes according to the merging of various stages.
Ratu Eroni explained how this new merging of sub stages will be implemented.
The decision comes after commuters raised concerns on the fares being charged as they claimed they were being overcharged by the drivers since the new fare structure was announced.
