Today classes in schools will revert to the school timetable prior to daylight savings.

This has been confirmed by Education Minister Filipe Bole who said it is hoped that the public is aware of this change and adjusts.

Bole earlier said head teachers and principals of all schools in Fiji were to inform their students, parents and guardians about the change in school timetable to avoid any confusion.

He said the Ministry is conscious of the fact that schools have different starting times before the daylight savings was introduced and they are to return to those times today.

Daylight savings which ended yesterday morning brought about some issues of students reaching their schools late, prompting the Ministry to move the start time for all schools to 9.00am.

He said the school term dates for this year, 2010, remain unchanged.
