There has been a change in mind set towards mental health, as more people are at ease with accessing mental health institutions.
This is according to Saint Giles Medical Superintendent Dr Shish Narayan who said they have noticed a slight increase with the admission figures in the recent years.
Dr Narayan said that one of the major reasons is the outreach awareness programmes carried out in the community.
He added that one out of four people are at risk in getting mental illness and people should not stigmatize people with mental illnesses as no one is immune to it.
Dr Narayan said to maintain mental health it is important to have adequate rest and avoid too much stressful situations.
