Special Administrator for Savusavu Vijay Chand is now compiling a special request for roads in the area as tourism is picking up in the area.
Chand said that with the three cruise ships calling into the town over the past few months, the Council's aim is now to improve their infrastructural services.
He adds they will be focusing on roads from the Jetty leading to resorts such as the Jean Coasteau Resort and past Raviravi settlement.
Chand said with the expansion of the airport, fixing road is their next step.
At the moment they are in the process of drafting the request and an amount cannot be put on how much is needed for the roads.
