Prison inmates may have a chance of being employed as Firefighters on their release.

This is after the National Fire Authority and the Fiji Prisons Correctional Services signed a memorandum of Understanding at the FPCS Headquarters at Civic House with NFA chief executive officer Jone Koroi and Fiji Prisons Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua.

Fiji Prisons Correctional services spokesperson Fred Elbourne said the MOU includes the provision of a fire appliance for use by the volunteer brigade in the Naboro Prisons Complex.
