The young Digicel Fiji sevens brigade has an even greater burden to shoulder at this week’s Scotland 7s, and that is to defend the title they won last year.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula said he has faith in the young boys in the team and believes they will excel in Edinburgh and improve on the mistakes they made in London.
Meanwhile, Scotland coach Stephen Gemmell said he knows he is in a pool of death with Fiji and World champions, Wales, and knows that his side will come in as underdogs to the tournament.
Samoa coach Stephen Betham said though they are heading for the last tournament in the series, the winner is still not decided, and he has told his boys to take each game as it comes.
Scotland's opening pool match will be against Fiji on Saturday at 11:09pm.
Fiji then play Wales early Sunday morning at 2:35 and their last pool match will be against USA at 5:17am.
