Chairman of the Rewa Cooperative dairy company has urged the government to ensure that price of dairy products are adjusted immediately after world market prices change.
Speaking at the Rewa dairy AGM on Friday, Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi stressed that delays in adjusting prices has serious implications on the companies operational costs.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed earlier that since 2004, milk imports have increased from $39.4 million to $62.5 million in 2008 while milk production at Rewa dairy decreased from 11.77 million litres to 10.33 million litres as the number of registered farmers decreased.
