The Water Authority of Fiji has called on residents in the Central Division to store water now as the power blackout this morning has affected their water-pumps.

Spokesperson Michelle Tevita-Singh said residents should collect enough water as water supply will certainly be affected.

Singh added there may be a two hour delay as residents may still be receiving water now however water cuts are expected.

Meanwhile, power supply is slowly normalizing in parts of the Central Division as FEA is yet to give the cause of the blackout.

FEA CEO, Hasmukh Patel is expected to issue a statement later today after analysing the fault.

The blackout occurred just before 8 o'clock this morning.
