Census is like taking a camera and taking a snapshot of family members on a particular day.
Bureau of Statistics spokesperson, Shyam Narayan said their census budget for this year is $5 million dollars and they have received this through overseas funding.
He added that census preparation started about 2 years ago and they will be employing about 2000 enumerators who will be supervised by 450 people.
The Bureau itself has Regional officers in Ba, Labasa and Nadi and 40 area coordinators. The personnel are supplemented by 20 headquarters support staff.
He also added that census is a count of each and everyone present in a household or institution on census night.
Enumerators will start visiting your homes from next Monday.
