It was a time of sad goodbyes as former students of Suva Grammar School bid farewell to their friends as the 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrations came to an end last night.
The Black Tie event was held at the Vodafone Arena attended by more than 500 ex-scholars and friends of Suva Grammar School was the grand finale to the weeklong jubilee celebrations.
Patron of the celebrations and Boys Grammar student in 1940, Gerald Barrack while addressing those present said the celebrations meant so much more than just a get together with old friends.
Current Principal Waisake Ravatu said he is hoping to have a good working relationship with the current committee.
Meanwhile a Suva Grammar Trust Fund has been set up for the purpose of funding repair and maintenance work of school facilities.
During a Soli night the various decades from the 60's to 2000 contributed more than $30,000 within two hours on Friday.
