France based winger Rupeni Caucau's dream of donning the Digicel Fiji 7s jumper in Hong Kong is over!

Village Sports has received confirmation that Caucau who was supposed to have returned from his injury last week, has been ruled out for another 3 weeks, making it impossible for him to take part in the Marist 7s.

Speaking to Village Sports, local based recruiting agent Frank Boivert said Caucau has been out of action for the past month and has not fully recovered.

Also on Tuesday, after the Games Committee's meeting with the 7s management team it was confirmed that the Bua flyer had not called the FRU to declare his availability for the Hong Kong 7s.

The FRU will stick to their earlier rules - that if players want to be included in the Fiji 7s 12 member team for Hong Kong - then they will have to take part in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s on the 7th and 8th of next month.
