Former Flying Fijian winger Rupeni Caucau has been named in the World 15's rugby team of the decade.

Caucau is ranked among the likes of Chris Latham, Jonny Wilkinson, Bryan Habana, Lawrence Dallagio, Victor Matfield and John Smit in a team that has been picked by journalists.

He is been rated as the best attacking player of the decade although he only played for Fiji in the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

Other close choices were in favour of current Springboks halfback Fourie du Preez ahead of George Gregan, Wilkinson picked at fly half ahead of Dan Carter and Matt Giteau and George Smith winning the number 7 spot over All Blacks captain Richie McCaw.
