Leicester Tigers head coach Heyneke Meyer is still waiting for the arrival of Fijian flyer Rupeni Caucau sometime this week, but at this stage nobody really knows where he is or when he will arrive.

His arrival gets more crucial for the Tigers by the second.

Alesana Tuilagi is the latest of the Tigers to be struck down by the wave of injuries sweeping through the camp and is out for 6 weeks.

It leaves Tom Varndell as the only specialist winger, as Caucau's Fijian compatriot Seru Rabeni is still suspended.

Caucau who went missing at Agen twice for pre-season training and was suspended from internationals by Fiji for a year because he did not turn up for a game has already missed two appointments with Leicester for a fitness trial, and is the answer to Leicester's problems if fit, and if he turns up.

Meyer said he does not know what's happening at this stage but if Caucau arrives and is fit, the rest of the Guinness Premiership will know about it.
