Catholics in the Central Eastern Division will tonight converge in Suva in a show of faith to welcome the New Year.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Assistant Parish Priest Fr Iosefo Tuvere said tonight Catholics will celebrate the feast of Mary and the New Year through a procession from the Flea Market to the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Catholics from as far as Korolevu are expected to participate in the procession.
It starts at the Flea Market at 8 tonight, prayers and reflection will be carried out once everyone reaches the Cathedral ending off with a mass at 11pm to 12 to herald in the New Year.
