With just over 3 weeks remaining for Easter, the highlights of the Catholic Church is the crosswalk and individual sacrifices.

The crosswalk symbolizes Jesus' life journey ending with his death on a cross to save mankind.

Those were the sentiments of Vicar General Fr Beni Kaloudau as Catholics around Fiji during this Lenten season of sacrifice, take part in a crosswalk from one parish to another re-enacting Jesus' walk to Calvary and his eventual death many years ago.

Kaloudau said the cross walk tradition dates back to 1968 in Fiji and tonight will see the continuation of the Central Eastern Cross Walk from Nausori to Lami.
