Nadi pastor Laione Lutunacevamaca and Fiji Rugby Union chairman Bill Gavoka, who are charged with allegedly making false news that fostered public alarm and public anxiety, appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.

The two men are charged with one count of malicious act under the Public Order Act for allegedly circulating information about a so called prophecy of a disaster in Fiji.
 
The case has been adjourned till the 8th of September where defense counsels are expected to make representations in writing to the DPP counsels.

Gavoka is represented by lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo while Lutunacevamaca is represented by Aseri Vakaloloma.
