Carting water to the affected areas is costing the Water Supply Department an estimated $8 thousand per day.

Media Liason Officer, Maika Nagalu said they hire 6-7 trucks to cart water which they have been doing since Tuesday.

Trucks have been supplying water to the Central Division residents living around Tacirua, Savutalele, Colo-i-Suva and Naboro.

In Rewa, people getting water through Wainibuku Reservoir have started getting water, as one of the pumps at the Toga irish crossing has broken down.

In the West, the Tavua treatment plant is operated by generators and is not able to cater to everyone's demands.

In Sigatoka and Rakiraki, power has been restored and in most places people have started to get water supply however it has not normalized yet.

Generators have been installed in Korovou.

For Navua and Deuba power has been restored in most places except for those areas where water supply pumps have been restored.
