All Blacks first five eighth Dan Carter is ready to put his body on the line against the Flying Fijians in Friday night’s Test match in Dunedin.

Although being named on the reserve bench, Carter believed it is going to be a tough match because Fiji is always an unpredictable side to come up against and they can score tries from any length of the field.

A break last weekend has re-energized the pivot and he was wary of the challenge, especially after Fiji beat Samoa, conquerors of Australia on Sunday, 36-18 in Suva 10 days ago.

Carter sidestepped a question about his form yesterday, preferring to focus on what lies ahead of the All Blacks on Friday, vowing to fight fire with fire.

All Blacks host Fiji on Friday at 7.35pm.
