All Blacks first five eighth Daniel Carter is sticking with New Zealand rugby after the Rugby World Cup.

He signed a four year deal with the New Zealand Rugby Union today.

Carter is understood to have knocked back deals from cashed up European clubs, one from French side Racing Metro which was worth $4.8 million for three years.

The NZRU offered an unprecedented amount of flexibility to the star, along with Richie McCaw and Sonny Bill Williams, to keep them in New Zealand until the next World Cup.

Carter will be in action for the Crusaders when they take on the Chiefs on Saturday at 7.35pm.
