Carter named on the bench to face Hurricanes

Dan Carter will come off the bench tomorrow for the Crusaders.

Carter, Kieran Read and Owen Franks have all been named on the Crusaders’ bench for the game against the Hurricanes in Wellington.

Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said they’re not sure how much game time Carter will get.

Carter has been preparing to return to Super Rugby for about two months.

He has also given up alcohol.

Colin Slade will start at number 10.

The Hurricanes will play the Crusaders at 7:35pm tomorrow.

Tonight, the Chiefs play the Highlanders at 7.35pm.
