Dan Carter is highly likely to miss the Crusaders match against the Highlanders this weekend.
Carter picked up a lower leg injury in the season opener against the Rebels.
Colin Slade is expected to wear the 10 jersey in his absence which should allow Israel Dagg, who didn't play last week, to start at fullback.
Meanwhile former All Blacks halfback Andy Ellis has returned from Japan, but it's unclear whether he will be available for Saturday's match.
The Chiefs will take on the Brumbies at 6.35pm Friday while the Rebels will meet the Waratahs at 8.40pm.
On Saturday, the Bulls will clash with the Hurricanes at 5.10am, the Highlanders and the Crusaders will meet at 6.35pm while the Reds will take on Western Force at 8.40pm.
On Sunday, the Stormers will face the Blues at 3.05am while the Sharks will take on the Lions at 5.10am.
