Now more than ever All Blacks fly-half Dan Carter is aware that there is competition for his starting position.
Carter returns as the All Black pivot against Argentina tomorrow after a run of niggling injuries and the unusual situation of having serious competition for the first-five position.
Rather than shy away from it, he is embracing the need to perform against Argentina.
The All Blacks host the Pumas tomorrow at 7.35pm while at 10.05pm the Wallabies host the Springboks.
