Australian Foreign Minister, Bob Carr said he is proud to have asked specific questions and get strong commitments from the Fijian government during the Forum Ministerial Contact Group meetings.
Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had said that Carr had asked whether seats will be reserved for the military in the next elections.
When questioned on this and where he got this idea from, Carr admits he asked this question and a few others to get specific answers.
Carr said he came to Fiji to test what is happening on the ground.
