Pacific Games 100 metres Freestyle Gold medalist and record holder, Caroline Puamau is confident that after winning in the finals last night, she can also pull through in the 50 metres backstroke and 200 metres freestyle today.
Speaking from Samoa, Puamau said the team is focused to win more medals.
Puamau adds that she would like to dedicate last night's win in the 100 metres freestyle to her daughter at home.
Meanwhile Papua New Guinea swimming star Ryan Pini who stole the show in 2003 SPG, won two gold medals last night. Pini took out gold in the men's 200 metres freestyle and the 50 metres backstroke.
Now looking at other sports the Fiji touch rugby side will meet Cook Islands in the qualifying round today at 8:10am after winning all their pool games yesterday.
The Fiji netball side after beating Norfolk by 93 goals to 9 yesterday will take on Solomons in their second pool match today at 3pm. Other sports that will also take place where Team Fiji will be in action will be Sailing, Squash, Shooting, Table tennis, Lawn Bowls, Cricket, Beach volleyball, Hockey and Golf.
