Police are currently interviewing the senior official at the PM's Office and military officer Captain Seremaia Tuiteci
Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Josaia Weicavu confirms that Captain Tuiteci has been taken to the Central Police station where Police Officers are now questioning him in relation to the allegations about drunk driving and assaulting a police officer.
Captain Tuiteci was released from hospital earlier this morning.
It has been confirmed that Tuiteci hit a taxi at Macgregor Road on Friday night. He was allegedly under the influence of liquor and failed to stop when Police tried to stop him.
Police later went to a Suva apartment and tried to arrest him when the civil servant is alleged to have assaulted a Police Officer.
