We don't think we can send our children to school this year.

These are the words of the Turaga ni Koro of Malabi in Wainibuka, Saimoni Soleca who said many of the houses have been damaged and the plantations located near the Wainibuka river which the 126 people of the village rely on for food, has been washed away.

Soleca said they don't know what to feed their children and is also asking officials to see the Turaga Ni Koros of each village first before distributing relief packages.
